Pickup upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport. Depending on your time of arrival, you can enjoy a tour of Kigali city, where you will visit any of the historical and cultural sites, such as the Genocide Memorial Center, Inyambo Farm, Caplaki Craft Center, or Richard Kandt House, among others. Check in at your hotel and rest. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Kigali.

Wake early in the morning and have breakfast before driving to Akagera National Park, which is approximately a 3-hour flight from Kigali. Upon your arrival at the park, proceed for a game drive in the northern part of the park where you will get to see a number of wildlife animals, including Rhinos, elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and so many more. Later, in the evening, you will head out for a night game drive that is perfect for spotting nocturnal wildlife such as lions, the elusive leopard, serval cats, among others. Lunch and dinner will be served at your lodge.

Wake up early in time to have your breakfast and head out for an early morning game drive in the park before exiting. Look out for any wildlife that you might have missed sighting during your previous game drives in the park.

There is also an option of doing a hot-air balloon tour, which starts at 5 am, in the morning depending on the weather. While flying calmly over the vast plains, lakes, and lush hills, you will see species in their natural environment and enjoy the tranquility of nature all around you.

Have lunch and proceed with your journey to Volcanoes National Park, arriving in the evening. Check into your lodge near the park and relax for the rest of the evening. Dinner will be served at your lodge.

Start your day early in the morning with breakfast at your lodge before driving to the park’s briefing point at Kinigi. You will be briefed by the park warden and placed in trekking groups of a maximum of eight members, before heading into the forest in such of your gorilla family. Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park can take between 3-6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you have located a gorilla family, you are given an hour to spend with these majestic creatures. Return to base and connect with your guide. Have your lunch and proceed for a cultural experience at Ibyi’wacu village, where you will take a dive into Rwanda’s rich historical and cultural heritage.

Later, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then drive to the park in time for your morning briefing before heading into the forest in search of golden monkeys. Golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park takes 1-3 hours, and you will be given an hour to monitor these playful primates. Head back to base and connect with your driver guide for lunch before proceeding with your 5-6- hour drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Upon your arrival in Nyungwe in the evening, check into your hotel or lodge for dinner.

Have breakfast early in the morning and drive to the park’s briefing point. Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe National Park starts at 5 am every morning, so you will need to wake up very early in the morning. Trekking chimpanzees in Nyungwe, Cyamudongo, or Gisovu forests can take anywhere between 3 and 6 hours, depending on their location. You are given an hour to spend with them once you have located a chimpanzee group. Later, have lunch and head back to base.

Before returning to your lodge, you will embark on a canopy walk experience where you will be exploring the canopy walkway bridge- a 160m long and 70m high suspension bridge that is accessible via the Uwinka trail. The hike to and from takes about 2 hours, depending on your pace, and gives you stunning views of the park as well as wildlife and birdlife that inhabit the park.

Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After having your breakfast, check out of your hotel or lodge and embark on a 6-hour drive back to Kigali with a brief stopover at the King’s palace in Nyanza or the national museum in Butare for a historical and cultural experience. You will also have lunch en route to Kigali.

Upon your arrival in Kigali, your driver guide will drop you off at a hotel of your choice or Kigali international airport in case you have a night flight.
