Detailed Itinerary for 4 Days Tanzania Budget Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrival
Following your arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro / Arusha), your private driver guide will pick you up and bring you to your hotel for supper and overnight before your safari departure the next day.
Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
Depart for Tarangire National Park early in the morning, following breakfast. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the area during the dry season. In sections, the flora is thick, including elephant grass, acacia trees, and a rich groundwater forest.
The Park is most renowned for its elephant families, who may frequently be seen congregating along the river. You may also witness giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeest. Predators such as lions and leopards follow these animals carefully. Tarangire National Park unquestionably has the highest number of breeding bird species in the world!
After lunch and an afternoon game drive in the park, you will drive to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a Game Drive
After having your breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning. When you first visit Ngorongoro Crater, it seems like a forgotten world. Hidden behind the sheer volcanic cliffs lies a natural environment with wide grassland, patches of acacia forest, and shimmering lakes and wetlands.
The Crater was formed when a massive volcano erupted and fell on itself two to three million years ago. It is well-known for both its geological wonders and its status as a nature reserve with some of the densest big animal populations on the African continent.
Furthermore, the trip down into the Crater is an experience in and of itself, and while on the Crater floor, you are rapidly surrounded by vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. Furthermore, the Crater gives you the best opportunity of spotting the endangered black rhino, which can occasionally be seen in the wide grasslands.
After lunch and a long game drive, we return to our lodge in Karatu for supper and a good night’s sleep.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park and Back to Arusha
After breakfast, proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. This is a tiny yet diversified park located 120 km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a small salt lake. It spans a considerable portion of the park, flooding and drying as the seasons change, and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. During your visit to the park, you will encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and, with luck, lions reclining in the trees.
In addition, the park is well-known for its various landscapes, which include not only broad grassland plains but also primate-filled woods and baobab-dotted cliffs.
After lunch and an extended game drive, we return to Arusha, marking the conclusion of your spectacular experience!
