Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
On this 1 Day Rwanda Gorilla Tour from Kigali, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kigali. Set off from Kigali at 4:30 am and begin your 3-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park. Volcanoes National Park is in Rwanda’s northwestern province and is the country’s only gorilla park, with roughly 10 gorilla families available for tracking.
The briefing begins at 7 a.m. at the park headquarters in Kinigi. Your guide will highlight key rules and regulations about the gorilla trekking that you’ll be following. The gorilla trek might last anywhere from one to seven hours or more, depending on the location of the gorillas.
You will be trekking over the steep bamboo hills and eventually coming upon the gorillas hidden in the bush, which is an inspirational and fortunate experience. Once you arrive at the gorillas, you have one hour to spend with them while standing 6 meters away.
After this beautiful and memorable experience and time spent with the gorillas, you will head back to back and you will reunite with your driver/guide. Have lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding with your journey back to Kigali, arriving in the evening. Drop-off at the airport or your accommodation in Kigali.
