Detailed of 6 Days Kilimanjaro Hiking Safaris.

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our guide will meet you and transport you to your hotel in Moshi for a last-minute gear check and overnight stay. The resort is surrounded by panoramic views of the town, Mount Kilimanjaro’s perpetual snow, and beautiful green gardens in the heart of town. Moshi offers a variety of activities, including nature hikes, hiking, and beautiful driving. Inhale deeply and appreciate the warmth and serenity of Bristol Cottages.

Day 2: Transfer to Kilimanjaro Machame Gate

You will drive from Moshi to Machame Park Gate for registration procedures. Then we will begin walking through the jungle on a meandering track that leads up a hill. At lower levels, the route may be muddy and treacherous. Gaiters and hiking poles are recommended here. You will travel a little way till we arrive at Machame Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Hike to Shira Camp

On the 3rd day of your 6 Days Kilimanjaro Hiking Safari , following breakfast, we will leave the rainforest glades and ascend a trail that will take us over the valley on a high rocky slope. The Machame path now heads west down a river canyon until you reach the Shira Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Hike from Shira to Barranco Camp

You will proceed east from the Shira Plateau along a ridge, past the intersection and heading towards Kibo’s summit. As we go, our path shifts to the south-east, towards the Shark’s Tooth Lava Tower (elevation 4650 m/15,250 feet). Shortly beyond the tower, you will reach the second intersection, which leads to the Arrow Glacier. You will now head down to the Barranco camp. Although you conclude the day at almost the same height as when you started, this day is critical for acclimatization and will help your body prepare for summit day.

On the 5th day of your 6 Days Kilimanjaro Hiking Safari , after breakfast, you will depart Barranco and follow a difficult slope up the Barranco Wall (height 4250 m/13,900 ft.), through the Karanga Valley (elevation 4050 m/13,250 ft.), to the intersection with the Mweka Trail. You will then head up to Barafu Camp. You’ve finished the South Circuit, which provides views of the peak from various perspectives. You will set up camp with views of the top in the distance.

Day 6: Hike from Summit to Mweka Camp and Transfer Back to Moshi

You will continue our journey to the peak between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers about midnight to 2:00 a.m. You’ll go northwest and climb over thick scree to Stella Point on the crater’s rim. This is the most psychologically and physically hard part of the journey. At Stella Point, you’ll take a quick break and be rewarded with the most spectacular dawn you’ve ever seen. Faster hikers may see the dawn from the summit.

On your 1-hour journey from Stella Point to the peak, you may experience snow the entire time. Uhuru Peak is the highest peak on Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa. From the peak, you will descend directly to the Mweka Camp, stopping at Barafu for lunch.

After you have had lunch, you will meet up with your driver guide and drive back to Moshi where you will be dropped off at a hotel of your choice or Kilimanjaro International Airport. End of Tour!
