Our driver guide will pick up from your hotel and drive to Gulu with a stopover for lunch enroute. Upon your arrival in Gulu, you will check into your lodge and spend the rest of your evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Churchill Hotel.
Have breakfast early in the morning and meet up with your driver guide. You will embark on 5 hours’ drive to Kidepo valley national park arriving in the afternoon. Check into your lodge and have lunch. You will later head out for an evening game drive in the park where you will get to see a range of animals including leopards, cheetah, zebras, kudus, buffalos, gazelle, elephants, elands, duikers and so many more. Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Apoka Rest Camp (Budget)/ Savannah Lodge (Midrange), Apoka Safari Lodge (Luxury)
Have a relaxed breakfast meal at your lodge. You will then head out for a full day game drive in Kidepo valley national park. You will start with a morning game drive in Narus valley in search for wildlife including lions, elephants, leopards and buffaloes. If you are lucky, you will also spot the Cheetahs and hyenas as well. Head back to your lodge for lunch and rest for a while.
Later in the afternoon, you will head back out for another game drive where you will be exploring Kidepo valley area. This area has a rich concentration of Ostrich birds and is closer to the border of Uganda with South Sudan. You will also visit Kanangorok hotsprings before finally returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay same as above Apoka Rest Camp (Budget)/ Savannah Lodge (Midrange), Apoka Safari Lodge (Luxury)
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge and then head out for a morning game drive in the park. You can use this opportunity to search for animals that you haven’t yet seen in the park. Lunch will be served at the lodge and you can rest for a while.
After lunch, you will meet up with your driver guide later in the afternoon and head out for a community tour to the neighboring Karamojong community where you will have a chance to interact with the friendly locals and learn more about their interesting culture while touring their local homesteads called ‘manyatas’ and also watch dance and singing performances from the local dance troupe. Later head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Apoka Rest Camp (Budget)/ Savannah Lodge (Midrange), Apoka Safari Lodge (Luxury)
After your breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and transfer to Murchison Falls national park taking approximately 8 hours’ drive with a stopover for lunch and to ease yourself. Arrive at Murchison Falls national park in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Parkside Safari Cottages (Budget)/ Pakuba Safari Lodge (Midrange)/ Para Safari Lodge (Luxury)
After an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive where you will be able to view the early risers. During the game drive you will be able to spot large herds of elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, giraffes, lions, leopards, view several bird species among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise, after lunch you will go for an exciting boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will get a chance to view large herds of hippos and crocodiles in water, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes along the shores, view aquatic birds like kingfishers, cormorants, bee-eaters, hornbills among others. Have breakfast and drive out of the park. You will transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will be doing rhino trekking. The Rhino sanctuary is located about 89 kilometers from Murchison Falls national park. Rhino trekking takes about 1-2 hours depending on the location of the rhinos. You will the proceed with your drive to Kampala with lunch en-route. Arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon and proceed driving to Entebbe where your driver guide will drop you off at a hotel in Entebbe or directly at the airport in case you have a late-night flight to board back home.
