This 4 Days Murchison Fishing and Wildlife Safari takes you on an unforgettable experience to Murchison Falls National Park in northern Uganda. It is the country’s largest savannah national park and has one of the world’s most powerful waterfalls, Murchison Falls. During this four-day Murchison Fishing and Wildlife Safari, you will trek southern white rhinoceros at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on your way to the park. You will also get the opportunity to enjoy a quiet fishing session on the Nile River as well as a morning wildlife drive before leaving the park.

Day 1: Pickup and Drive to Murchison Falls National Park- Stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Depending on your location in Entebbe or Kampala, on the first day of the 4 days Murchison Fishing and Wildlife Safari, you will be greeted by our driving guide, who will inform you about the safari before transporting you to the national park. On the way, you’ll stop for lunch and visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to monitor rhinos.
After rhino trekking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you will continue your journey with a stopover in Masindi before heading to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, you will be driven immediately to the top of the falls, where you will be able to enjoy beautiful views of the cascade as well as water splashes. From the top of the falls, you will travel to the resort for dinner and sleep.
Day 2: Full Day Fishing in Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast on the second day of your 4 days Murchison Fishing and Wildlife Safari in Uganda, you will carry a packed lunch and meet your driving guide to cruise to the bottom of the falls for an exhilarating sport fishing excursion.
During your fishing trip, you will be accompanied by an expert fishing guide and will be able to utilize various fishing tactics such as live bait/casting lures to capture different fish kinds such as Nile perch and catfish, among others if you are lucky. Following the exciting fishing adventure, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as described above.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
On the second day of your three-day Murchison Falls safari, after breakfast, you will meet your driver guide for a morning game drive where you will see elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, lions, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, Uganda kobs, and bird species, among others. After the wildlife drive, you will return to the resort for lunch.
After lunch, you will embark on an exciting boat cruise adventure to the bottom of the falls, where you will be able to cruise meters away from animals such as elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and waterbucks drinking water along the shores, as well as view large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, aquatic bird species such as Kingfishers, fish eagles, Bee-eaters, Herons, and cormorants, among others. Following the intriguing boat journey, you will meet your driving guide and return to the lodge for an evening of leisure, supper, and overnight stay, as described above.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe.
After breakfast on the last day of the four-days Murchison Fishing and Wildlife Safari in Uganda, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to go for a morning game drive where you will be able to view predators like lions, leopards, hyenas, and jackals before they get back to their hiding areas, animals like giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, bushbucks, Jacksons hartebeest, warthogs, Uganda kobs, among others grazing in the open plains with dew.
After the wildlife drive, you will leave the park and return to Kampala. On the way, you will stop for lunch in Masindi before continuing on to Kampala, where you will arrive in the early evening. Your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or at any other location of your choice.
