Detailed Itinerary for 6 Days Tanzania Classic Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Pickup and transfer for a full day game drive in Tarangire national park – Mto wambu Maasai Bomas cultural tour
Depending on your location in Arusha, you meet your guide and drive to Tarangire national park. It’s a 2-3 hours’ drive arriving for a full day game drive in search of animals like the herds of Elephants as well as other wildlife species like zebras, hartebeest, elephants, waterbucks, gazelles, Oryx and others. Have en-route lunch and connect for an afternoon/evening drive to Karatu, connect for a Masai cultural tour before you check-in for dinner and overnight stay at your selected lodge.
Day 2: Ngorongoro crater experience – transfer to Central Serengeti
You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge and transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area with your packed lunch for a Crater game drive. You will descend 600 meters into the crater and enjoy seeing wildlife species such as cheetahs, lions, leopards, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, buffalos, wildebeests and many others. You will also visit Lake Magadi, which is a large but shallow alkaline lake in the south-western corner and is among the main features of the crater. You will see a large number of flamingos, hippos as well as other bird species along the lake-shores. Thereafter, embark on your transfer to Serengeti national park, which is about 4 hours’ drive. Upon arrival with en-route game viewing, check in, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning in central Serengeti with afternoon transfer to Northern Serengeti
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge ahead of the full day wildlife viewing activity as you explore Central Serengeti. During your morning game drive in the wilderness of the national park, you will see a variety of wildlife species like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, Zebras, Impala, African wild dogs, Serval cats, elephants and many other species then have your packed lunches. Thereafter, connect to Northern Serengeti with en-route game viewing. Connect to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Full day game drive in Northern Serengeti
Have early breakfast, get parked lunch and go for a full day game experience of the Wildebeest migration. Wait up for the crossing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at lodge above.
Day 5: Another day in Northern Serengeti witnessing the great wildebeest migration.
After having your breakfast, you will spend your day tracking the wildebeest migration with a break for lunch which you packed from your lodge. Later in the evening, retire back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer to Arusha
After breakfast, check-out of the lodge and embark on your journey back to Arusha with en-route sightseeing. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at a place you advise in Arusha. Marking the End of the Safari
